1. Board of Directors
The Board of Directors provides strategic leadership and governance, ensuring that Serene Haven remains aligned with its mission and vision. The Board also advises the senior management team on key decisions and helps maintain the integrity and transparency of the organization’s activities.
2. Executive Team
The Executive Team is responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of Serene Haven’s programs and activities. It is led by the Executive Director and the Programs Manager, and includes:
Program Officers: Each of Serene Haven’s programs is overseen by a dedicated program officer, responsible for implementing and managing program activities.
Accountant: Manages the organization’s financial health, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Social Worker / Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer: Ensures that Serene Haven’s social support services and impact measurement systems are effectively implemented and monitored.
3. Serene Haven Beneficiary Member Units
These semi-autonomous units consist of various groups representing Serene Haven’s beneficiaries and supporters. They are instrumental in implementing community-centered projects, ensuring local ownership and sustainability of the programs.
Youth Chapters / Youth Action Circles: Established in 26 colleges and TVET institutions, these circles serve as platforms for youth to participate in advocacy, leadership development, and climate action initiatives.
Serene Haven Teenage Mothers Secondary School Alumnae: Comprising 71 members, this group supports teenage mothers who have graduated from Serene Haven’s education programs, fostering continued peer support, mentorship, and advocacy.
Semi-Autonomous Adult Member Units: Groups of adult beneficiaries who take an active role in community-led programs, contributing to project sustainability.
Serene Haven Special Needs Children Guardians Group: A support group of 28 members who are guardians or caregivers to children with special needs, focusing on advocacy, support, and the development of inclusive services.
Serene Haven PROPEL Members: Participants of the PROPEL program, who engage in leadership, advocacy, and community-driven initiatives.
4. Fundraising Chapters
Serene Haven has an extensive network of Friends of Serene Haven chapters worldwide, who support the organization’s fundraising efforts and build partnerships for project implementation. These chapters are instrumental in generating resources and raising awareness about Serene Haven’s mission internationally.
